Emily and Charley have basically the same reason for arguing (part natural/part gameplan), but Emily has a better understanding of situations and also allows people to have their say, which sometimes looks as though she's losing the argument. Charley tends to talk about herself with no real point, so she isn't as adept, and her arguments are boring.

I like them both, but Emily lets people have their say, so she's great for the show.
