For BB1-BB4. The eviction highlights show used to start at 8.30, and lasted half an hour til 9.00. The result would be announced during the first show.
The evicted housemate would then be given an hour and a half to pack their belongings and say their goodbyes. The second show, which was the eviction interview started at 10.30. In between both shows. They used to air new Friends and Will & Grace episodes. BB5 launched at 10pm. That's why when you re-watch the launch, it looks much darker compared to say BB7's launch, which started at 9pm. I remember they showed the last ever Friends before the launch, at 9pm. I think the BB5 launch was an hour, too. I loved the BB5 launch, it was great. The build-up and excitement for the night of 28th May 2004, was fantastic. The last-ever Friends and the launch of BB straight after was electric. Especially as the advertising that year for BB was done very well, and created a buzz. BB6-BB11 launched at 9pm. BB6 evictions started at 9pm. The shows back then were 30 minutes. The result was announced in the first show. The housemate would then leave the house half an hour later, after 8 Out of 10 Cats. The second show, which was the eviction interview started at 10pm. BB7 and BB8 evictions started at 8.30pm, as the shows became an hour long. The first show involved the highlights and the eviction result. The evictee would leave the house and have the interview, in the second show at 10pm. During the half an hour break, they showed The Friday Night Project, during BB7, and 8 Out of 10 Cats, during BB8. BB7 and BB8 finals were the same. Started at 8.30, for the first show. At 9.30 they had the 8/10 Cats BB Special. At 10pm, the second show started, where they interviewed 3rd place, and revealed the winner. I think in BB8, both final shows were an hour. Despite, the BB8 final starting at 8.30. When you watch it, it's very dark. I believe it's because it was late August (Last day of August), at the time of the final, so it got dark quicker. BB9 evictions started at 9pm, instead of 8.30pm, like the previous two series. The first show was an hour long, and consisted of the highlights and the eviction result. The Kevin Bishop Show, aired afterwards. At 10.30 the second show started, where the evictee left the house, and was interviewed. When you watch a BB9 eviction from Weeks 9-12. You could tell it gets darker as it's August, unlike when you watch a BB9 eviction from Week 1-3, it's light outside, as it's in June. In Channel 5 evictions, it's usually light outside at 9-9.30pm, for the first six weeks. But, the last few evictions are darker, as it's usually August. As is the final. If you watch Tamara's eviction in June, and the BB15 final. You can tell the difference, at the beginning of both shows. Last edited by Jason.; 22-03-2015 at 02:03 AM. |
