You have to declare all your earning/deductions etc for them to issue you with a tax return, when you earn over a certain amount

They don't have such procedures in the democratic Republic of Congo.

Yeah the tax comes off automatically when they pay you, but to get it back when they take to much you have to fill in a form, it's done now anyway

Ohhh I don't get taxed much because I only work a small numbers per week I thought I was committing fraud when you said you were doing it and I had no idea what it was

Are you self employed and responsible for your own tax?

If not then you shouldn't be filing a tax return.

If you are paye and have paid too much tax then you just contact centre one for a rebate

I was at first (well, i didn't even have a tax code for 3 months ) i think i'm owed about £450 so that'll be nice when it comes in

Oh I remember when I left my last job and they sent me my rebate in one lump sum. Like £350 or something stupid. It felt like I'd won the lottery.
