As Emma Willis explained at the BAFTA Awards a couple of nights ago when she presented the Reality & Constructed Factual award.

Reality is exactly that - real life, it's reality. Constructed Factual on the other hand is part reality, part script. It would seem that these days Big Brother is more about the latter. Although the housemates aren't exactly given 'scripts' a la TOWIE, they are manipulated into scripted situations. Just take the pre-selected couples as just one example, from the above article. Big Brother hasn't been 'reality' for a number of years now.
