And don't forget LF made BB into what it is (supposed to be) and caused it to being so popular with the public, the whole concept of sticking a group of people in a confined space and watching them 24 hours a day.

Live feed gives us more of a chance to get to know the housemates, gives us a greater understanding of them and also creates talking points with friends, family and on forums like this.

It's a joke really that C5 don't air live feed nightly on 5* or C5 for at least 60mins (should be a few hours really). If countries across the world can run 24/7 live feed then surely we can run 2 hours a night live feed. I doubt it costs that much to run at all, you need, what, a director, two or three live editors and someone to oversee they're not airing anything that breaks regulations. Scrap some of the crap they waste money on BOTS and shift that money to live feed.

I don't buy the 'not enough people watch it' argument either. I highly doubt during the C4 days they had millions of people watching live feed on E4's red button at 3am...

There is only one reason they don't air live feed, and that's because it stops them from manipulating the main highlights show, and that's why Big Brother is slowly being run into the ground. Fans, and even casual viewers have lost one of the fundamentals of Big Brother and they know they're being force fed a fake storyline each episode. Big Brother was never meant to be aired like that, it's meant to be natural and basic, with no heavy editing. I accept they need this fancy editing to keep up with the times although they need to realise that the public aren't thick enough to enjoy these fabricated storylines. The producers treat Big Brother like TOWIE, but the Big Brother audience is too intelligent for stuff like that.

Live feed isn't the be-all and end-all, although it is a fundamental of the show and something we should at least be getting a few hours of a night. Like I've said various times on this forum. C5 and 5* moreso hardly have massive viewing figures at night and simply 2-5 hours of live feed a night would not cost much, not affect 5*/C5 viewing figures (might even improve them very slightly) and create more of a talking point. Fans will engage more with the show on forums, casual viewers will talk to their friends more about highlights of the live feed, word will spread and while it won't give the main show millions more viewers, I think it would help the figures far more as people will feel more engaged with the show. As opposed to now where we're being pushed away and given very little content.

Less chance of the producers being able to manipulate a story out of editing

Live feed does allow us to get to know house mates much better. It also dispels all the talk (right or wrong) that the producers are manipulating the highlights to show particular housemates in a good/bad light. That is the biggest thing for me as the highlight show has too much of a scripted feel to it.

I would actually be happy to pay for LF. I moaned about it in bb11 but now, I would pay and I would pay more than the tenner or whatever it was then.

Surely it wouldnt cost too much to set up or anything

Live feed could work these days if you have it on a app, YouTube and official site, Put it where people are at

How much people would pay for it? 10-30 pounds?

In a reference to my earlier post, we paid 40 euros (approximately 28 pounds) for our stream, which is a lot, but what you get is 24/7 non-stop uncensored live feed with 6 cameras, a chat and an exclusive chance to vote on certain events in the house.

The 28 pounds was for whole season pass. There were also 1 month, 1 week and 1 hour passes too.

Yeah Ł10-Ł30 would be fine to pay for live feed.

If they maybe offered
- Ł10 CBB series pass (valid for one series)
- Ł20 civilian series pass (valid for one series)
- Ł30 year pass (inc 2 x CBB series and 1 x civilian series- overall saving Ł10)

I think something along those lines would attract fans and casual viewers too. They can easily plug it on social media to attract people to buy it. The single payments would work for casual viewers, as many people will spare 10 to 20 quid without feeling robbed, then 30 quid will suit dedicated fans who are happy to pay a higher amount in one payment while saving money.

This would be a great idea tbh, if they actually tried this I could see it working

Simple enough... There's 16 people in the house and only 45 minute shows to get to know them. Back when there was a live feed you could actually get a good sense of who they are and begin to either like or loathe them. either way you cared about them. Something it is becoming increasingly impossible to do, hence the crap viewing figures.

Channel 5 does a lot of making stuff up and its causing people to switch off, But they have a common enemy called Andrew Oathy and unhappybbfan on Twitter for some reason even through they the ones saying the truth.

Loved abit of LF.Did'nt watch it constantly but would sometimes just lay in bed and watch and sometimes there would be some drama.Nothing beat fight night live for me.It was exciting at the time.Or i'd come in at 3am after a night out and sit and watch until i passed out.You would see the extent of the editing too,Sometimes it would be very heavily edited.I can imagine the clips we see now would be unrecognisable to what is actually happening.

on any BB with live feeds some really good moments happen and you miss most or a good amount from the edit version on tv. hell even a good amount doesnt even make the show. of course there is gonna be a good amount of boring bits but when the good stuff happens its worth it. i could always watch or do something while i had the feeds still on if it was being a drag.

Also reason for wanting live feeds means production can't try to portray things that aren't really happening by manipulating the scenes which they do show.
BBCA feeds are the worse though. its nice they at least have it but such a messy production. ever since CA1 i cant find myself to complain about the US ones.

What the BB Canada producer does not mention is the feed downtime (for competitions, live evictions, big tasks, visitors and other stuff), which at times can be brutal. (Or so i assume, i don´t watch BB Canada feeds). I think it ranges from 4 hours to 10 hours.

And on that time the manipulations, making up stuff and unfair edits happen.
