For me personally, I think it's more the context in which the words are used that makes it homophobic, like there's a difference between using the words in a jokey way and using them in a way meant to cause offense to homosexual people.

There was a photoshopped image of two men together, as if it was a joke. You're telling me that wasn't making a mockery of an entire group of people's struggle?

Yes intention is more than the word itself, but it was clearly in a nasty context also. Sometimes my friends say things like "shh ur gay" in a way that's obviously jokey and sarcastic, which is fine. But it seemed very malicious the way Danny did it.
