but you are making it sound like America and Russia are equal. but that's just not true.

America is superior to Russia in every conceivable way. There is not one single instance in which Russia is in anyway even comparable to America.

Russia is INFERIOR to America in every single way.

Being superior does'nt negate or absolve blame or responsibility.Yes Russia is a backwards country in comparison with America but does that make America totally blameless?Mistakes can be made by anybody.Nobody is perfect.

Wow, xenophobia or what?

Part of the reason that Russian's behave as they do is exactly because of the superior way the American people behave toward them.

Russia has in no way been blameless throughout recent history, but these attitudes sure don't help. If the USA learned some humility, it would be a bloody good start rather than forcing their own agenda on any country that has the audacity to disagree with them.

To say that Russia is only following their own agenda when America has been forcing its own agenda on anyone it can for decades is an unbelievable stance to say the least.

Every single country involved has an agenda, if they have a common goal, they should cooperate and work together rather than trying to score childish points against each other at every turn.

okay nobody is perfect, but we are definitely closer than RUSSIA.

Please stop pretending like Russia is just some country trying to do well and just happens to make some mistakes... no no. They are not even TRYING to do right.

Yeah, okay..

When you're ready to stop with the arrogant and obnoxious flag-waving, come back and have sensible debate.

If you read my earlier posts i don't think Russia are just trying to do right.I am very skeptical of Russia's reasons for bombing in Syria.I don't just think it's to eliminate ISIS.I don't even think Russia cares that much about ISIS.I do think they are there to prop up Assad and i think they are there to build military bases in Syria and to slow down what they see as western dominance over the middle east and in world affairs and i think they want to show that America are not the only 'big dogs' in the world.I also think they are deliberatley hitting the so called 'moderates' in the region to not only diminish the threat to Assad but to have a prod at America who have trained and armed some of these.
I think they are flying jets into NATO air space just to show that they can and that they are arrogant enough to do so and are not scared of the west.
I think all this comes from what they see as a threat from western expansionism with EU country's popping up all over their borders. We saw what happened when their puppet was removed from power in Ukraine,They invaded it so a western puppet could not start running the show. The Russians don't want Ukraine becoming a member of the EU or Nato,They have interests in the Ukraine. The Back Sea Fleet etc. They do not want another EU country popping up on their border.
Like i said i think both sides are somewhat to blame and in the end it does'nt matter who is more to blame because when these two bulls butt heads the fallout will be devastating!
There are far too many military presences currently in Syria.Let's just hope a 'proxy war' is not staged their which could lead to much worse.
Britain are now sending troops to the Baltic countries to deter any more Russian aggression. How will Russia react to that?Who knows.

China has a strong relationship with Russia because of communism... and the UK are surely trying to forge stronger links with China for a myriad of reasons, the strongest of which is commerce. I don't think the effort being put into forging links with China would be justified on the off-chance that they might speak to Russia on our behalf.

Commerce, what is it we have that they need...Apart from London?
Are we not morphing to fit, I think we are... surveillance, monitoring, reduced human rights.

We want their businesses here, bringing jobs for a start. And we want our imports an exports to run smoothly... I think that China will not want to get involved as a go-between, risking good relations with everyone their emerging economy is relying on.

Surveillance and monitoring are being used for a reason, no one's interested in putting you or me under surveillance and monitoring our movements Kizzy... as for Human Rights, well... if you think we have a bad record on Human Rights, you really need to look at other countries and recognise how free we are in this country. Although you always seem to have this 'glass half empty' view when it comes to looking at the UK for some reason. This thread isn't about that... and yet you manage to drag it round to that same old argument.

There is no love lost between Russia and China, never has been and never will. They have completely different ideologies. China needs our technology and our know how, we need people to buy our stuff so China at the moment is an ideal match. Nothing more, nothing less.

OK, neither country is perfect - none are - but I will say it again; God forbid the day when Israel falls in the Middle East and America falls in the West, because then the UK will fall too - - along with every other civilised country in the world.
