I guess that she feels the need to throw in the "Vot choo doing in sveden anyways if choo don't want follow svedish rules??" bit. I guess it is a sort of casual racism but, also, I think the guy making the video was probably baiting.

Yeah the guy was purposely being super irritating and even filmed and uploaded the incident to the internet, he clearly wanted a reaction. It sort of reminds me of the people on youtube who break the law then when the police come they whip out their camera and start demanding the specific law they broke along with the precise dictionary definition of it. So annoying, the guy didn't have the right ticket and wouldn't pay for a new one yet refused to let up, sometimes people say things they don't mean when others are behaving like that.

I don't think that's an example of racism of any kind. She said nothing derogatory about another race, simply asked him a question because he wasn't accepting something that she explained to him numerous times.

And this trend of people secretly filming others to post online and publically humiliate them is really unsavoury.

Hmmmm she suggested that he was being awkward or didn't understand the rules because he was from another country. Also with an implication that if he doesn't like the rules he shouldn't be living there. It's not straight-up racism but it's also not NOT racism.

I mean... I encounter irritating people who don't like or understand the rules / don't think the rules apply to them every single day. 99% of them are British born and bred. It really has absolutely nothing to do with where they're from and as such, she didn't need to "go there" at all. Also, you can pretty much see that she holds off on saying it for a while before eventually blurting it out which makes it obvious that she knows herself that she shouldn't have been saying it.

I definitely agree with that, though.

I totally agree that him being from another country was irrelevant but I don't believe she had any racist intent in anything she said. Perhaps she assumed the issue was based on different systems in different countries because of how hard it was to get him to grasp what she was telling him a dozen times, I don't think that was reflective of her being a racist person and some people need to stop flinging that word around whenever they feel like it.

And to be honest, if we're talking about what people "don't need" to do, you yourself didn't need to mock her accent.
