Caught up. I enjoyed that. It was different, but enjoyable. It was cool to see an episode Carried simply through great acting and writing(bar the silly bite).

Brilliant episode, probably in the top 10 ever for me. Glad that we got to see how Morgan changed so much from the last time we saw him, apart from Rick/Sasha/Carol/Carl he is the only one that has had any character development over the last couple of seasons really. I'd disagree that him getting a standalone episode means he'll be around for a long time though, didn't The Governor die in the same season as his standalone episode?

They're really making a point of showing how trigger happy Rick has gotten lately, I think Morgan has been reintroduced at this point so he can be the one to bring him back around the same way Eastman did with him. After that he could go either way, but I really hope they don't kill him anytime soon. Take Maggie instead.

No chance, Andrew Lincoln is the face of the show. If they want to cause a massive outrage they can kill Daryl off, I like him but it would almost be worth it to see the internet burn to the ground

Yeah, I was thinking that too Ammi but I guess he couldn't kill him after that whole episode on his Akido/protect life philosophy

....yeah, I guess so but I think he may stop being a believable character as part of a group, as opposed to being a loner...unless he can find a balance because ..was it Elliott, who taught him..?..he was killed 'protecting life' so that way won't give him survival, he needs to be able to try to distinguish, when it's necessary, I guess because otherwise, only 'bad/evil' will survive...

Morgan locking the door and not leaving it open like Eastman I think was a pretty big thing. Shows that even though he will always follow his philosophy he can see evil in the eyes, just like Eastman did with that Dallas guy.


As for Morgan's future. I think he will be the OMFG death, as it would just make too much sense. It would suck as he's one of the most interesting characters, but it has to be him or maybe Daryl.. When..I'm not sure.

Ah yeah, I never really thought about the significance of him locking the door. I really hope they don't kill him off anytime soon. I don't like when they invest time in a character just so they can kill them off with a bit more reaction. Also, Morgan is important in that he's been around since the very first episode, eventhough he was absent for most of the series

I thought it was a good episode overall but Morgan and the Wolves are boring me already. I'd rather they focused this series on developing the Alexandra characters more and actually making the audience care about the place, it would be more impactful in episodes like this one when we see it under attack.

I'm not interested in the Wolves at all, they're just another generic group of throwaway psychos that should have 'filler' cut into their foreheads rather than those Ws.

I thought the episode was rubbish. It was too much of an desperate Emmy Grab of an episode which ruined any enjoyment I could have gotten out of it. I thought the writing was awful and cliche ridden and, for a flashback episode, we learned nothing that we didn't already know or could have surmised. The only thing this episode achieved was derailing the momentum this season had built up.

Morgan's still unlikeable and the cliched Karate Kid storyline did nothing to add to the story or change it in any meaningful way.

It's one of the worst episodes of Walking Dead that I've ever seen.

Brilliant episode with some of the best acting in the show to date, Morgan has been built up so well since he returned, i was really annoyed with the Govs flashback episode and how they made it about him having good qualitys and going out of his way to help Strangers and totally went against what his character was about but The Morgan one was pretty much spot on with how you expected him to react since he was still going through his inane moment and gradually progressing through it as the episode went on under the guidance of Eastman, if only Eastman was around for The Gov during his crisis

The acting was the only good thing about it. Everything else about the episode has been done about 20 times before and the writing was shoddy as hell.

'I've survived for about 2 year into the Zombie Apocalypse and I know my stuff but I'm gonna die to a single zombie if the most predictable and avoidable way possible but not before I've spouted on about my cliched as hell backstory!'
'I've been an unrepentant killer for months now but I'm gonna turn over a new leaf because I've been hanging around with this man for a couple of days and he taught me how to hit things with a stick and then died like an idiot.'

Never mind the fact that nothing actually happened, we learned nothing new and it was all just an extra long filler/Emmy bait episode. Morgan's still an idiot and the generic psychopath gang no.12242 are still generic psychopaths and incidental characters still die in the most dumbass ways possible while the storylines we do actually care about have been put on hold for a week since the writers haven't got enough plot to fulfill the season orders without filler.

It was a chance for the writers to break out of their own cliches and they failed hard.

I agree with Dezzy, the episode was dull - I just don't care about Morgan, the episode could have been part of another episode, I saw no reason to dedicate a whole episode to him.

Oh and the 'emotional' scene where the chubby guy who's taught him to be a pacifist in a zombie apocalypse got killed wasn't sad - the only loss that I felt was a loss of momentum.
