I don't think any of those type shows represent the majority from those parts of the Country. I can only has at a guess that reality show producers seem to look for the extremes, the exhibitionists, fame at all cost types, hoping that viewers are drawn in in a car crash tv sort of way
 As an Essex girl myself, I am 'nothing' like those TOWIE idiots, and can't abide them.
