When I went to Majorca some years back, they tended to just pour the Vodka or Whiskey out into the glass, without the single or double measure that we see in pubs over here.
Optics rule okay.. But over there, you can end up having triple, quadruple measures and you think you can manage many drinks, but then you become very drunk or sick  nodisharmony
