It suits the title of the game as well, and makes it feel more like an uprising... There's not going to be any major changes to the whole original HoH and PoV thing, just some fun bits.
As for the 'only thing making it like the Canadian version', just wait and see. This season has been refined and given an extra dollop of maple syrup to make it more like the game it originates from rather than the last season that sort of drifted away from it slightly.
