Difference is all of those have fairly unique styles and she does not. She's retreading Xtina/Mariah tropes and riding the "trumpet hook" train into the ground.

Why excuse any of those I mentioned in my last post for harvesting a particular sound but then dismiss Ariana for using trumpets as a focal point in two songs? I mean I get that it was a gamble to try it again with a lead single and that the gamble didn't pay off but it's a perfectly fine pop song with a chorus that borders on silly and annoying, no worse than say Cheryl Cole's Crazy Stupid Love for similar flaws.
