Yeah, that's been my general thought of what's coming up too.

Spoiler:

Presumably they'll encounter the returning dead villains while in the Underworld but I wonder if any will get the chance to escape. If any do, I'm banking on Cruella (what with her "multi episode arc").

Loved this episode.

Spoiler:

The ending!

Rather sad about Merlin dying but I had thought he might have been killed prior to the Storybrook return. </3

The mention of Lancelot's mother, the Lady of the Lake was interesting. I believe in the Arthurian Legends Lancelot is raised by Nimue, who is also known as the Lady of the Lake. Obviously Once's version isn't the Lady, it seems they've split the character into three separate entities in the show (Nimue, the Siren and Lancelot's mother). As someone interested in the original stories it just caught my interest.

I continue to love Nimue, here for her and her merry band of Dark Ones wreaking havoc next week.

Spoiler:

It was a great episode but it did bug me in places.

Dark Hook makes for a great villain but, like Zelena, his motivations are weak as hell, instead of just retconning his character development completely and making him Nimue's bitch, they should have made him resent Emma because she turned him into something he hates. Hook being out for revenge against Rumple just feels like a boring retread of past stories.

They've done a great job of giving Dark Emma more depth but I'm sad that they just made Dark Hook as two dimensional as possible.

Still though, I really enjoyed it and I'm glad the story is finally getting interesting.

Yeah, and Hook's fall into darkness was just too quick and convenient. Actually, I don't love this Dark Hook thing in the first place. I'm enjoying the approaching endgame of this arc as a whole and the return of all of the Dark Ones etc, but the Dark One Hook angle just hasn't really clicked for me.

I love Dark Hook, I just hate his motivations. They're too simple, illogical and, like you said, convenient.

A lot of the plots are convenient.

Spoiler:

I think the Dark Hook plot would have worked a bit better if there had been more development with it. One episode doesn't quite cut it. I'm looking forward to the end of the Dark One arc TBH. I love Dark Emma though

Yeah, this whole plotline has the same issues that the Neverland story had. Nothing happened until the end and they didn't have enough time to flesh it out because of it.

So that's OUaT over for the next 3 months.

Spoiler:

I liked the episode BUT I didn't like how most of the characters introduced for this arc were just forgotten about. What's worse is they actually filmed a scene for the exit of Merida and the Camelot crew and decided to cut it.

It also doesn't seem right not having Merlin in the finale for this arc. I wanted Nimue's ending to have her be freed of the Darkness and reunited with Merlin in the afterlife or something. But again, since the Darkness hasn't been destroyed just yet perhaps there's still time for that later.

Zelena being sent off to Oz was random (not necessarily in a bad way, just random ) but Rebecca'a still listed as appearing in 5B so she's going to resurface somehow.

As for the promo for 5B, I am too excited for that! Even throughout this current arc it's been 5B I've been truly waiting for. Very much looking forward to all the familiar faces.

What an awful episode.

Spoiler:

The Camelot characters weren't great but the way they were simply forgotten was amateurish, even for this show.

This episode should have been split into at least two, the Dark Ones were pointless and did nothing and everything was rushed and predictable. It trivialized everything that happened in this arc. This arc was just designed to be a big ol' reset button and it's so annoying because they could have done so much more with it. Rumple becoming the Dark One again is stupid and it just made these eleven episodes even more pointless than they already were. This has been the worst arc they've ever done in this show. Woeful.

I'm really not bothered about 5B at all any more.

I decided to give this a go. I'm halfway through season 2 and I don't know why but Henry really irritates me I kind of hope he gets banished to another realm or something soon

I feel kind of bad for Regina too I know she's the big bad evil witch but Henry is her son, Emma gave him up and said she didn't want any contact so she can't just suddenly be so involved with him now

Costas Mandylor has been cast as Captain Silver (who I assume is Long John Silver from Treasure Island but that's not been confirmed).

Up to season 3

I looove Regina
I still don't care about Henry

I'm kind of over this Neverland setting I preferred it when they were all based in the real world/Storybrook tbh Hope they kill Peter Pan and go back soon

Yeah I got bored of Neverland fast. I really liked the evil Peter Pan angle, I just think Neverland as a location was wasted, it was like an endless trek through the forest.

Neverland would have been an amazing arc if it was shorter, there was too much padding in the middle to drag things out.

I quite liked the first episode back. Not the most compelling episode ever but it was mainly a set-up piece anyway, the premieres aren't usually the most exciting ones.

Spoiler:

I'm torn on them having Hades' flame hair. On one hand I appreciate it as a nod to the Disney movie, on the other it looked a little silly (as a live-action man with fire for hair was always going to ). But I assume it was just a little thing to nod to the movie and he won't be always doing it, and I like how other than that they've done their own thing with Hades (like having him wear a suit rather than the toga the animated Hades wears ). He's probably an amalgamation of the mythological Hades and the Disney version which is a good way to go, I don't like it when they try to make some of the characters carbon copies of the Disney versions.

The Blind Witch was a fun little cameo, but I wish she had a scene with Regina instead of Snow (since Regina killed her, that would have been an interesting interaction ).

As for the flashbacks, at first I thought they were entirely unnecessary, I mean we've had countless flashbacks of Regina pursuing Snow, we don't need more of that, but then it became more about filling in the gap of how her father ended up in Wonderland which I liked, it was never a massive mystery but it's always been a loose thread since Season 1 so I liked finally seeing how that happened.

I like how Peter Pan's still an evil little ****, he's one of the villains who would be entirely ruined if they tried to give him a redemption story. He was always an unrepentant sociopath and that's why he works. A while back I saw some filming pictures of him having a scene with
Spoiler:

Zelena, where she gets a bag put over her head, obviously she'll end up in the Underworld at some point and I assume Rumple will use her for the life Pan wants to trade with. I can't wait to see Pan and Zelena interact, that should be fun.

I watched the promo for the next episode too, excited to see
Spoiler:

Cerberus! I was hoping he (they?) would show up! I think the next one is the episode where Cruella returns too (for more than a drive-by cameo I mean ).

I actually enjoyed that first episode back.

5B is shaping up to be a hell of a lot better than the Camelot rubbish.

The Hades stuff was better than I expected. I thought he was highly miscast in the role looking at him but his performance at the end wasn't too bad.
