I love how he watches all 4 of the AUS/UK/USA/CAN BB's, and idc about housemates being superfans as it doesn't guarantee good TV but it does make me like him more as a person

I think the huge difference is that he's endearing with how big of a fan he is, while other superfans (of the BBUS/Survivor variety) are just pretentious know-it-alls.
