At least Marco senior has a reason to love him self, supremely gifted talented chef and restauranteur. Fair play, top chefs are hardly wallflowers, shrinking violets*. Marco senior discovered Gordon Ramsey, who copied him right down to the same aggressive sweary personae. You have to have a bit of an ego to be a top chef. Why is the son in love with himself, though? Marco Junior has little discernible talent.

*dont be fooled by Heston Blumenthal's nice guy act, several people have come out and admonished his character.
