We're just more discerning and observant when it comes to picking great Hm's and we know we are probably in a minority and are proud of it.

Actually it isn't his job, a journalist and a newsreader are not the same thing. Andy has done many memorable things, while all I can remember Hughie doing is either sit around looking as if he needs a good wash or yelling and raving at someone...and lo and behold, falling into a pool drunk. So iconic.
He doesn't need defending though, as he has the win in the bag by all accounts. So well done! He won't be the worst winner ever, but he's far, far from the best.
