I second this. My sister is doing this and the amount of weight she's lost.

The good thing about slimming world is that you can still cook and eat so well, even sweets and stuff. They call the bad stuff syns and you can have 15 syns per day. Say you want a kit kat. You look it up on their app and their app will show you that a kit kat is say 4 syns. That means you can eat other good stuff to complete your 15 syns allowance.
You're allowed dairy as a healthy allowance. Milk or cheese.
The main thing they ask is that each time you have a meal, vegetables or fruits fill up most of the plate. Some vegetables and fruits actually make you lose weight, like Brocolli. They call such fruits and veggies SPEED. So if you're going to have a small portion of chili con carne, load up broccoli, cucumbers, whatever is a speed. If you're going to have some porridge, pop some strawberries on there, have some satsumas, they're speed fruits. It's actually a good plan.
You have to join a group and attend once a week. Hashtag slimming world on instagram and facebook and see the meals they cook. They're great. The main thing my sister has given up is fattening oil, peanuts, junk food too but they show you how to cook meals that are like the take out, or do what my sister does, every Thursday is syn day which means every thursday she gets whatever the heck she's been craving. Mcdonals, pizza hut, whatever
