There are plenty folk that wander about my town in the kilt, mainly old mannies but we have a few businesses that the staff all wear kilts so you often see men in kilts around these parts

My son wanted to get a kilt for his job as he works during events and weddings but he wasn't sure if it was bad etiquette to wear one as it was my great grandmother who was a Ferguson so a few generations back.

I can confirm that there are no Kilt Police and you can wear what you like

I honestly do not think that there are many more resplendent sights than a Scotsman in full traditional regalia - kilt, sporran et al.
