Shell was first up and the only one to wake before the alarm. She trundled out to the decking to roll a cigarette and contemplate the day, unaware she or one of her fellow housemates will be evicted tonight.

A growling mammal alarm woke the other housemates from their slumber, followed by an annoying industrial noise. Nadia got up and made tea for herself and Shell, and Jason made his breakfast.

The alarm racket didn't get Daniel out of bed, but it did prompt him to put his sunglasses on.

Stuart was next up and he spent a moment or two standing in the garden with his eyes closed in quiet contemplation before going to wash his hair in the sink.

With the shower out of commission - pesky Big Brother has yet to turn the hot water back on - Shell had to douse herself in water from the tap, which thankfully still remained warm, before Stuart showed his resourcefulness by constructed a makeshift shower arrangement.

Diverting hot water from the tap by positioning a tray underneath it, Stuart was able to shower himself. "Oh yeah!" he cried in triumph.

With Stuart's water tray in operation Nadia decided she would have a shower. But that only led to another dilemma, "What am I going to wear in the shower?" Nadia asked.

Why, heels, of course...

As the housemates go about their business they remain unaware there will be an eviction this evening.
