Yeah Hook is alright, but I don't get the obsession.

Regina/Snow/Zelena/Swan/Bell tbh.

Just watched. Did anyone else find it hilarious when Rumple spilled Belle's bones out of the sack?

So I was just reading some filming reports on Twitter and people are saying there's a scene later in the season where
Spoiler:

Zelena hits the Black Fairy with her car

I need this to happen now

So, about that twist in last week's episode. I'm glad there was more to it than just King George having David's father killed because that would have been boringly predictable and Hook being the killer was definitely a shock but this will just be a catalyst for more Charming family drama that I really don't care about. And it's common knowledge that he's killed plenty of innocents in the past so I'm not sure what sort of story progression this will lead to.

New Robin possibly being a villain could be interesting though. I was worried they were gonna use the Wish Realm to essentially insert Robin back into the story as if real Robin never died so I'm glad that doesn't seem to be the case. Yet.

That would be amazing although it leads me to the question of why she needs a car when she teleports everywhere anyway.

Every David storyline is boring, I'd forgotten all about the abortion of a storyline that is 'who killed David's dad but more importantly, who cares?' and I was glad to have it wrapped up in this episode and then they went and found a way to drag it out. It's just a filler storyline and it'll have no impact on everything.

The Robin storyline is potentially interesting, I just hope they actually go through with making him a villain. Regina is boring when she's loved up.

I don't remember it coming up that David's father was murdered in the past. When was it?

I don't think it was until the Evil Queen brought it up in 6A. Before then it was only referred to as an accident I think.

Finally an episode that advanced the main story after the dull meandering we've had for the past few weeks. The Black Fairy finally arriving in Storybrooke has significantly raised my interest level (and this sounds super gay but I loved her new outfit at the end). I liked the reveal that she created the Dark Curse too.

Gideon's actions had been annoying me a little before this episode when you consider how much easier it would have been to just ask Emma for help killing the Black Fairy in the first place so the twist of her having his heart and forcing him to kill Emma was a good way of explaining that. Also, nice touch with her fairy dust turning people into bugs, way back in a season 1 flashback Snow White had some dust that did the same which presumably originated from the Black Fairy, nice way to tie it together.

"THIS IS ON YOU, GIDEON!...
...and my boot "
Love her.

It really does look like they're gearing up for the show ending with the "last chapter / final battle" stuff (or at least, bringing the current incarnation of the show to an end this season). It would be fitting if the final villain was the one who created the curse that kicked off the whole show in the first place.

Really liked seeing Isaac again, even if just for one episode. And if that's the last we see of him, I kind of love that he basically got away with everything he did in the end

As predicted, I still didn't care about the Hook story but I enjoyed Blackbeard in those scenes at least.

I forgot to say about the episode before this one, I liked that they kept in continuity with the Wonderland spin-off by having Jafar turned into a genie (I bet that confused a lot of people who didn't see the other show ). I just wish he had more to do, he was a brilliant villain in the spin-off (one of my favourites from both shows actually) while in the main show he just appeared sporadically in a not-very-interesting B-plot. Shame as I thought Oded Fehr was just as good in the role as Naveen Andrews.

Caught up to last nights.

Spoiler:

Finally a bit of Zelena after being on the sidelines for ages.

The Black Fairy seriously needs to up her game though because I don't feel any real threat from her at the minute. Next weeks should flesh her out a bit more now the Blue Fairy's heart is beating again.

Not OuaT having it's first truly great episode in seasons

Living for the Black Fairy, it really annoys me that they waited so long to bring her into this season though, The Evil Queen was fun but I wouldn't have minded if they cut that arc down to make room for the BF's entry into Storybrooke to happen during the first half because she's way more interesting than Mr Hyde/Land of Untold story based episodes were. I did roll my eyes slightly at the fact they tried to make her sympathetic and I will fume if they turn her good at the last second to sacrifice herself for everyone but nevertheless Robert Carlyle and Jamie Murray did a good job of carrying the cliched parts of the episode.

I SCREAMED at Zelena mowing down the Black Fairy in the Soccer Mom Car.

Next episode looks HIGHLY messy and I'm not here for it.

Oded Fehr has been in a few shows and movies I've seen and always puts in a solid performance, can't believe how much they wasted him tbh.

This episode had me waiting for the Big Bad Blue reveal on Lostie's behalf tbh. So close, yet so far.

I think that ship has sailed tbh </3 the writers aren't smart enough to come up with a twist like that.

It was a great episode. Some actual decent twists in it too.

Low-key perched for the musical episode. It is Disney after all.

I actually thought this episode was really disappointing, which is a shame because it's the one I was most anticipating. After all the build up to the Black Fairy (I've been waiting for her ever since they first mentioned her years ago), her backstory was really underwhelming.

So you can just wave a fairy's wand around and become one yourself? That was weird.

Then there was her randomly turning into the Black Fairy while trying to kill Tiger Lily. I assume they were suggesting that her using her fairy magic to kill someone tainted her powers or something - sort of similar to Nimue becoming the Dark One when she used the Holy Grail magic for that - but it seemed far less random and forced in the Nimue situation.

And then there's all the hype surrounding her. They first mentioned her way back in season 3 as one of the most powerful fairies ever and she herself says she "practically invented dark magic" … she was a fairy for a very short period of time before being banished and certainly wasn't older than Nimue (who I assume was the true progenitor of dark magic). Doesn't quite live up to expectations.

They should have had her as always being a fairy and practising dark arts for many years but decided to turn her into just some woman who suddenly becomes a fairy, briefly dabbles in dark magic and has a random magical wardrobe change before being banished. It's a shame I found it all so anticlimactic because the potential for the character was huge and Jaime is perfect in the role.

And yeah, the evil Blue idea is pretty much dead now, this would have been the episode to do it.

I did like the twist with Rumple originally being destined to be the Savior though. That was cool.
