I agree with all of that, except the bit about "The Left". It's not a left/right thing - everyone is doing it at the moment. Like I said on another thread, the whole thrust behind Trump's rise to power is whiney,
right-leaning, disempowered white men who want "daddy Trump" to swoop in and solve all of their problems. We DO have a "snowflake problem" where everyone is offended about everything and apparently no one has the emotional stability to be able to handle it... and "Right" and "Left" are just as bad as each other. Both offending each other, both unable to handle perceived slights, all wanting "something official" done by "someone important", about all of it.
