She is doing the Autumn series and its not possible hence why Simon had to quit the X Factor 1st time

He didn't HAVE to quit, he chose to so he could focus 100% on US X Factor which he created and produced. A lot more work than a mere judge.

Sharon Osbourne did it when she returned to the UK panel in 2013. And, as said above, the Strictly judges jumped between UK and US every year.
