the 'IF U DONT LIK DONT WATCH' argument is so boring now
There is no reason that the show could've never been like it used to be yet c5 strived to change everything about it
If you're a fan of a show and you can see it becoming ****ing dreadful (money put into it or not) then you're allowed to say your opinions on it and how it continues to dissapoint you

You are sounding childish now they have to spend 100s of millions just on the rights to the show.

CH5 are not a cash cow

What does that have to do with them producing a sh*tty show?

I don't care how much or how little is spent on it, if what makes it to my screen is bollocks.

In your opinion, others think differently. And let's face it, the crappy decisions go above and beyond a simple logo.

That's no excuse for making it ****ing awful?

Also for the first 4-5 years BB was on C5, C5 was owned by Richard Desmond lmfao, they picked it up for the ratings alone lovey.

The show was changing while it was on CH4.

No every day person wants to do the show these days and hasnt for the best part of 10 years.

Fans expect to take take take but never want to give

Yes, every series had something different. No one is disputing change.

We're disputing the continued ruin of the show. There's a difference.

They are trying different ways to change the show every year. Most countries axe it when it is stale but no CH5 refuse to let it die yet and have help it become the longest running version

Again.... so what? If the end result is the same old sh*t I don't care.

They always advertise "big changes" none of which ever come to fruition.

It being the longest running or having millions spent on it has no bearing on if it's actually any good.

They built a whole new house on it and a new stage last year that is a big enough change if there was more interest in the civi version they would make more effort

A second house and a new stage.

Sorry, there was me thinking I didn't enjoy BB17 but then you reminded me Emma had a new podium, that's changed my opinion on the show completely.

This is a cyclical argument though, isn't it? They'd put more work into it if more people watched it, and more people would watch it if more work was put into it.

The simple fact is if you warp and distort a show so far from it's original concept, you'll alienate the fans who liked it at the start, and won't be able to draw in new fans because of the show's precedence.

Realistically, nobody is starting to watch Big Brother *now*, or at least no sizable amount. Continuing to bastardise the show and trying to trick your audience with the same song and dance each year just annoys people, and they are chasing a potential audience that just doesn't exist anymore.

I actually think the show isn't that bad... I mean BB15/16 were bad.

But I thought BB17 was really good? Like obviously it wasn't perfect but it had a brilliant cast and I throughly enjoyed watching it every night.

I also find that is such a talked about show even though it only get low/mid 1 Million viewers, like BGT gets 9M viewers but I don't really hear anyone talk about it?

I think it's just one of those shows that has good and bad years, most of Channel 5's civilians BB's have been considered good series?

I don't know, perhaps I don't look into it too much.
