I don't think it can be that rife if so many have never heard it until now?

Anyway, I guess in answer to the OP...no its not acceptable. Sounds a bit..writing a whole group of people off for nothing except being white, male and older (stale?)

believe me it is rife and has been for years and its getting worse..you will hear it as regularly used parlance all over the media and everyday life as this bigotry is taught across all the schools and uni's

Is it any different to blonde bimbos or white van man or the many other generalisations made every day of the week, I know it's annoying because you wouldn't get away with saying that about males from other groups but at the moment being white is seen as a bit of a crime
