I'd rather people acknowledge issues of race rather than trying to brush it under the carpet by saying 'I don't see colour'. That doesn't solve the problem, that's just refusing to acknowledge it's existence.

Physical aggression has been shown by Tom and in a lesser form by Chanelle. Chanelle...slipper...bag...hat was more in jest than deliberate aggressive behaviour. Even her spitting (however vile) was a dribble not an aggressive spit in the face scenario.

I don't see colour is a figure of speech, no one is saying people cant be their own race or trying to stop anyone being of a particular race...I hope the time is coming nearer where people will stop bringing up the race someone is from, flipping heck, its hard to make you understand what I mean so I think I might go to bed, I'm old and I need my beauty sleep ....night night x

It's an issue because there's an imbalance in how the world treats people based on their skin colour and simply saying 'I don't see colour' and getting annoyed when people of other races wish to discuss it makes it so that it'll continue to BE a problem.

Attitudes like that are contributing to the continued existence of racial issues, it doesn't help solve them.

Injustices don't go away because you refuse to acknowledge they exist.

If anyone says they don't see colour...they are merely implying they see everyone equally regardless of skin colour. That is not brushing it under the carpet...nor does it imply that they don't acknowledge its existence...

But that's all speculation on that front, at it's basic core they're more aggressive moments from Chanelle than what Hannah did I think.
