He was hoping for Deborah to go off on one like Hannah did on Lotan and for her to look the bad guy while he just sits there acting all innocent getting rid of his competition. Shame for him it isn't working

Not really. He has considered Hannah and Deborah as part of his "outsider" group for as long as its existed and had literally just been saying in the conversation with her that the clique are stronger now Sukh and Imran left. He was simply warning a friend that the people they don't associate with as often were pinning blame on her.

People are still reading way too deeply into his actions because of his VT.
