People think friends should have each others backs constantly, even if they think their friend was in the wrong. Its a bit odd. As if just because someone is someone elses friend they should be getting themselves involved in every argument and support them no matter what.
I have never had a friend like this, nor have I ever done it for anyone else. I wouldn't get involved in someone elses argument and often tell others to pipe down if they try to get involved in mine
Plus if a friend is in the wrong, I will tell them that.
