I remember that series got a lot of stick which is probably why channel 4 announced after that series that the show would only have one more series then get axed. I know BB10 had terrible ratings.

Never sure why channels axe shows when they themselves have messed it up.

For example - on what ****ing grounds was Jason even included in the cast for that last season? Was he interviewed by paint drying?

I agree! And then he went on to win the show too!! Still dont understand how as he was hated after that week of back door eviction for getting rid of lateysha grace a public fav!

Let's be honest it's not been actual BB for years.One of the main pulling factors and components of the show was people living in isolation with no outside contact to see how they'd cope and the psychological aspects of it.It was an experiment.Not knowing how you were being perceived was a major factor.Now they get social media thrust at them constantly,People going in and out of the house for tasks,New housemates telling them how they're doing and god knows what else since there's no live feed.
It's been on its arse for a long time.
The housemates have agents ffs.I don't even know if people apply anymore.What would be the point?It's Towie light.
It's time it went for a good decade to let people forget about this embarrassment then possibly bring it back to its original form one day.

Im actually watching back the 2011 series on youtube as we speak and ive just watched the pre launch interview with Brian and he does state that the show may be back but its not a social experiment this time around its a entertainment show. So i guess that explains why they did away with all of the C4 stuff. It hasnt been a reality show since C4 days. I think to save the show they need to bring it back as a reality show again with everything you have mentioned. There is too much contact with the outside world etc. Even the C5 2011 series was better then any of the ones they have put out in years as its stricter and still has elements of C4 in there and theres no theme, its just plain old big brother. watching this series back has really shown me just how down hill it has gone.

I imagine they'll give it one more series since it's still a top performer for C5.

If that happens then they need to completely get rid of however's in charge of it since trying to turn it into Love Island or EONTB isn't working. No one cares about showmances in Civ BB and the media only care about them in CBB when it's sexually explicit like Lewis Bloor and Marnie or it's completely messy and toxic like Steph and Jeremy.

They also need to stop with the RTV alumni housemates and scouting people since most of the time we end up with bland model types instead of interesting HMs.

I want them to put a mix of people in, give me jill who works on the bakery in tesco or sally who works for inter flora, chris who works as a postman. Normal people with normal everyday lives not models or tv personalities who are off partying in Marbella and only want to get it on with people in the house and walk around with their bits hanging out like sl**s.

There are many boring/bad episodes, this season has not been very good. People tend to have goldfish memories and always do view the ongoing current season as a great one, people did so with BB15 and then later realised it wasn't great and also BB17 people classed as the best of C5 whereas now it's greatly accepted BB13 is that. People are classing this as a middle series right now, which means it is actually one of the bad seasons. I'm enjoying it because I love BB and like every series despite some being bad/worse, but I'm not compelled to watch the show and the show has gone backwards since BB17. I actually choose to watch Love Island over Big Brother as it's more entertaining and compelling which is why its thrashing BB in the ratings despite starting off below/at the same level.
