Default Sewing - Womens job, right?

I just lost a button off my shirt, so I will have a go at it tomorrow, as my Girlfriend has refused to do it - as I complained last time, as the button was a bit looser than it should have been.

I should have kept my mout shut I HATE SEWING

If that had been phrased differently:

"Women are much better than men at sewing, I wish I could do it nearly as well as a woman, but I can't, and I'd really appreciate some help."

?

xD

In fact, as my mother is italian, she doesn't want me to do anything. However my sisters do that with her. My and me father, who's russian by the way, don't move a muscle.

WoW, you certainly have a mixed background from various countries. I just took it for granted that my mum could sew a button on or mend a tear in a shirt or trousers and leave it to them, but my girlfriend can do it and does do it - but I did make the mistake of complaining some time ago and when I hinted recently, she said,

"You do it? I don't want to make a mistake and have you moaning!"

So I took the hint and came up trumps But I still like being lazy Sunshine, ha! oooooooh nevermind

I have 3 nationalities as my father was born in Russia and my mother in Italy. My 2 sisters and me were born in france. But at home we speak mostly italian and french. Only my father and me speak russian when we are alone and when we drink some vodka together lol.
Being like lazy sunshine30 is always fun, keep it up !

My dad can sew (not well, he just sticks needles in things when he's trying to fix them and claims it works) and my mum doesn't.

I've always gotta be different.

Nice one! a mixed cocktail of countries and languages to talk in and about, ha! I am lazy at times and when sewing comes along - or the need to do it - I will usually have something more important to do. That's naughty - but that's me, ha!

Haha thanks but you know, sometimes it's not so easy, I mean forthe traditions and the shock of the cultures. My parents are starting to plan my wedding, the russian one, the italian one and the french one.
But well back to topic, sewing is mostly for women !

Don't let them rule your life Sunshine. For different opinions from different cultures - planning a wedding would never be a cooperative venture, more like a fight for leadership, ha!

Back on topic - my topic, ha! - I agree with you, mostly for women, unless you criticise - then it is the mans job and I do quite well considering I am only a poor little man, without the powers of professional sewing skills like **** have
