Because you are just reaching now implying Amelia wasn't Sam's first choice. Lots of young guys have crushes on older women, it doesn't mean he wants to be with her. Whereas Amelia was definitely Chad's first choice.

Chad tried it with Marissa. They were both in the garden. Everyone else was in the bedrooms. Paul interrupted them when he went outside to tell them that BB won't turn off the bedroom light until everyone's in bed. Chad grumbled because he'd been cockblocked.
