Oops, messed up the heading and entered in error. The heading was supposed to say ‘On a bright note’! No significant changes in the opinions of Brexiteers according to the above poll. Indeed even some remainers can see the benefits of it. Unlike all the psychological scaremongering by some on here and elsewhere to try and convince us otherwise. Pleased to say they are fooling no-one. Last edited by Brillopad; 22-10-2017 at 10:09 AM. |

But there are significant changes in the opinions of brexiteers according to the poll above? What an odd conclusion to make. They are significantly more pessimistic about the outcome, and, on the whole, they believe it is being handled badly by May. Thats a whole new level of selective reading.

You literally just posted a link which supports the opposite of this. If you're gonna spam the forum, at least read up on what you're spamming about.

It is an interesting read.
Although some brexiteers now realise it won't be an easy exit it is good to see that it hasn't changed their minds about leaving. I think in general people who voted either way just want to see this all sorted now, it is all the unknown circumstances that make business and such jittery. |

Probably because the biggest shift in opinion happened in the aftermath of the vote when a lot of the cornerstone arguments of the Brexit campaign were revealed to be bull****. Anybody who didn't change their mind then are probably too stubborn to do so now.

Nothing bright about the catastrophic mess that May and the Tories are making of Brexit. They need to be gone already.

We had a vote, anything else is just speculation.

The interesting thing about Brexit (at least for me) is the loss of confidence in the Conservative party and without confidence, there is no strategy. Its as though they’ve forgotten what Tory rule is…. What are their goals? What are they about and Why are they all bickering? Without the EU running the corridors of power, the Tories are nothing more than a party that’s lost its way. They are truly floundering.
Am I happy I voted out? yes. Am I happy about the way Brexit is going? No, because the Tories aren’t considering industrial interest at all. They don’t know how to exist without the EU neoliberal packaging. They are still desperate to protect wealth at the expense of everyone else. A coalition should be driving us towards Brexit, not just a party that only existed because of the EU. I believe exiting the EU will see an end to this present model of the Tory party but we are all going to suffer their appalling mismanagement during the exit.
