I hate how people say this is the end of BB for me after 1 bad b****y series! I mean come on. BB4 was awful, but a year later and we get BB5. So the way I see it one bad series of BB shouldn't really put you off! BB9 will probably be amazing and you'll all be eating your words!

BB5 was so brilliant and one of the reasons was because of the dynamics of that series, and the divide between the LGB's and the Junglecats. We had gameplayers as well who admitted they were playing a game (Victor & Jason). And it was the same in BB6, well, we had Makosi who is probably the best gameplayer our version has seen but she never actually told us she was playing a game like Victor did, probably because game-playing is frowned upon in our version. And I love both but sometimes I think the US version is better, ever since I began watching it last year. The tasks/competitions are better, more challenging, and very well designed. The housemates they choose are better than the housemates we've had in the last two series. And it's treated as a competition and the housemates actually want to be there, and they want to win it and get as far as they can because they're not just in it for exposure. As well as that, BBUS is a whole lot less predictable as the dynamics, alliances and strategies can completely change in just one day/week. I would also love to see the US format adapted over here, even if it was adapted into a completely seperate show from Big Brother with completely different producers so that the original version could still be played during the summer. |

As an American I will say that with towards formats that Big Brother UK is the best, but in terms of twists with like pitting the houseguests against each other the US is the best. The American twists have been copied numerous times. Where do you think Australia came up with the format for Friday Night Live (At least the current version of it), the American head of household competition of course and many other nations use that also. The Australians and a few other nations have also used twins switching places. The Dutch and a couple of other nations have used the format with people knowing another person like in season 6 of the American version.

Anyhow, for what I've been able to watch, I really liked BB UK 3. And as a whole I like the Aussie BB the best. And I just love Gretel, if presenters can be included. ![]() The only ones (besides Finland), that I've seen the whole seasons are UK 3&4. |

I think that the head of household twist is probably the most copied format in the world and the veto is quickly catching up behind it.

Actually the Head of Household, the 1 & 2 points nominations and the Bedsit are the most popular twists all around the world.

The US format is really good and very compelling to watch, give it a chance, don't just write it off, I did for ages and finally watched it this year and it was amazing. So I urge you to give it a watch. Also I'm glad to see that the Head Of Household is one of the most copied gimmicks, hopefully that means there's a high chance of BBUK adapting it into BB9. It would definitely work having a HOH each week who gets luxuries as well as power over nominations (although in ours I don't think the HOH should be the only person to nominate but I think the HOH gets to place one housemate up for eviction automatically) That way you'd get people scheming and backstabbing. BBUSA invented the "Big Brother Slop" idea too right? And also the drinking various food squished into a smoothie? |

The producers want to keep their creativity, they see that all their twists are some huge success, they will continue to improve and won't be copycats. Last task adapted in Serbia: the Middle-Age task. |

The annoying thing about BBUA is the whole cheesiness of it and the whole over-editing with music montages. Also BB should never have a score to it. I think BBUK is definitely more original and has way better twists and tasks. I have definitely heard that foreign people think UK is the best- as I have already said they think BB8 is a good series, BB8 for chrissakes! |

Yes BBUK is a reference for the other countries, that's true.
But as a BB specialist and foreign BBs huge fan, I can say the others are creative, they try to improve, they have some different goals, new type of stereotypes. All the series are enjoyable. |

![]() Well, BBUK is my fave all around the world but I'm not saying it's the best as all of them are deffo really different. And I do agree with you that, in BBUSA, I'm completely lost, it's like a soap for me, it doesn't seem they live here 24/7. It's like if the producers say "Please everyone on the stage, we need to catch the nominations scene" |

And with BBX coming up I see it quite plausible for BBUK to finally adopt the HOH twist and if it works in BBX then try it in BB9. They need to do something new after the disaster that was BB8. Our series has come up with some great twists in the past but don't give them too much credit, they borrowed a fair amount from other countries. Like the rich/poor divide which was originally done in the third series of the Dutch BB. BBUSA was the first BB to have twins. BB Mexico and BB Spain did the housemate swap first..etc. |

I do agree on the fact they picked some tasks but not a whole strategy of game and some people wouldn't see that. I mean personally, I like to see the housemates at the same stage.
