So the difference in the old twists and those ones was clearly one remembering the fundamentals of the game, and the other completely ignored them.
So what about kinga getting evicted by Makosi after 3 days and Jonathan by Aisleyne after 5? Are BB6 and 7's productions therefore diabolical?

BB7 had terrible missteps in production in its second half (I don't recall saying it was perfect, maybe the post was deleted?).

But I would say, at the very least Kinga and Jonathan were newbies and also described as having to win their places in the game. They were not housemates.

Indeed, BB7 did have missteps in its production, just as perhaps BB13 did. I believe if you're saying BB13's production was 'diabolical', the only thing that would satisfy such a person would be to return to BB1-4 style which, of course, is unrealistic, and unfair.

How is it unfair?

No, I haven't asked to return to any styles. I think any such attempt would come across as a poor reproduction because they can't even produce their own ideas convincingly.

Returning to those series approach to the game, twists and them being actually equal, fair and consistent is something I would champion. How that is unfair is anyone's guess.

And, no, I'm not referring to BB7 which was around the time the rules started to change dependent on which housemate it affected (Nikki being a prime example).

The BIB is exactly what I meant by 'style'. Expecting to return to those days is 'unfair' because the game has been far removed from that for over a decade now.

What this really comes down to however, is that you believe BB13's production was poor, and I disagree.

It's not though. They can have the game "far removed" from what it was, but make it fair.

Currently, the housemates may nominate, then the producers take a day or two to come up with what "rule" nominations will have that particular week to ensure they get what they want.

If they want to make the nomination rule "anyone who even receives a single nom gets put up for the public vote" then that's fine. But make it so every week, instead of next week it being "all housemates with names beginning with M".

Whatever format or style they want is fine, it just needs to be produced well, consistent and applied fairly, otherwise there's simply no point to it at all.

It's your prerogative to enjoy the crappy produced series.

I'm actually not sure why I'm arguing with someone over this who hasn't watched in years, and hasn't enjoyed the show for many more.
