The right in the US prides themselves as the "family values" party, and trump has been reliant on the evangelical vote in order to get anywhere, so sleeping with a porn star in the months just after his son had been birthed by his wife is not a good look. He had so much success just slandering his female accusers in the lead up to the election that he probably assumed he could do the same.

I am always amazed how all these rich and famous guys - footballers, politicians etc - often bed gold-digging fame-*****s then STUPIDLY expect them not to 'Kiss-And-Tell' or to abide by Non-Disclosure Agreements.
