Gibraltar is 100% vaccinated. They're still having lockdowns. That says that vaccines are not the way out of this.

Many workers from many countries enter our country a lot. So that means if we do get 100% of people vaccinated then nothing changes. Using your logic.

For goodness sake.
Jabbing here there and everywhere.
On about a 'jabathon'.

Just talk seriously to the public not make it like a panto scene.
Far too manic as to presentation.
Does my head in he does how he talks about this.

The queues snaking round the vaccine centres in london tells me his jabbering is working.

BBC Laura: Asked when will Extra Restrictions, come in.

At last
she asked a Medical question.

Whitty told her we do not have clear data yet.

Whitty said it's a serious threat.

And to the PM - will he change?

I'm actually more irritated with Whitty here.
I expect nothing but deceit from Johnson.

However Whitty is coming across as to having to be careful how he answers anything.

it's all about personal responsibility. If you intend to meet up with vulnerable people, get tested, miss other events etc. Everyone is different, everyone has different priorities and it's up to them to behave responsibly, the same way everyone does in every other aspect of life

just as an aside, the BBC coverage of this is shockingly bias. They keep saying that Boris was defeated in the vote in parliament last night, which is an outright lie. At least tell the truth BBC

Generally it seems that most people are simply selfish and ignorant ..

They all want to carry on getting drunk most nights or going to the footie or the world Darts championship or whatever .

Then they worry afterwards if they get poorly

They work hard to keep the country running all year, they deserve to enjoy themselves at Christmas. You know that the Politicians like to let their hair down at Christmas, so why shouldn't the working class?

It’s just common sense surely though ..

If they’ve found 80,000 positive cases today can you imagine how many there REALLY are in the country !!

Does this new strain stay dormant for the 4 weeks the original did, before surfacing as symptoms?
