I like it when it works well, like MH/Hotel worked well, but then, on the flipside, Hotel/Coven was crap, they brought back fatty just to kill her and then there was no repercussions, as if cordelia wouldn't have come down and burnt their **** to the ground

That's AHS' main problem, no consequences. Things just happen with no rhyme or reason. Most of the time anyway.

Ryan Murphy needs to give an actual writer the theme each year and let them tell an actual story.

Also y'all, i finished my hotel rewatch and some of my thoughts

The first few episodes were far too long, too many monologues from sally about light and dark and stupid stuff that wasn't necessary
Too many plot lines and none of them really had much of a point, there should have been more to the vampire side of things, it was kind of stale
Gags after ep 3 was great, golden globe deserved!
Addiction Demon was pointless, not explained at all
10CK episode on rewatch was much better than the first time round, as was devils night

Well, that one did kind of make sense, she said when she first met tristan that he reminded her of someone from her past, but it might have made more sense to maybe give him some prosthetic face pieces so that he didn't look exactly the same
