Yeah the voting for them because you always have, or because your parents did makes 0 sense to me. I have always voted Labour, but thats because I agreed with their stance on most things. Now that I don't, I won't vore Labour, but have no idea WHO to vote for. I vfoted lib dem in this as it was mainly about brexit, but, in a GE I don't think I would. Voting Labour even though I think they are rubbish at the minute just because I always have, and my parents (and probably grandparents) voted for them is just ridiculous IMO.

Although I had some reservations on Theresa May's EU agreement bill.
I could accept it was the best we could get probably.
Not much to satisfy anyone really but then that is the modern way with politics.
I voted remain and still would, especially following this farce of the last near 3 years.

The maddening thing for me is firstly, the ERG group of the Conservative party.
They represent all that's really bad about the current Conservative party.

Secondly, I'm irritated with Labour.
Labour MPs, when it suits, defy the whip of their party often now.
However not enough of them would do so,to get May's agreement through, even to just abstain.

Of course any government should not need opposition votes, they should be able to get their main votes in Parliament passed with all their own MPs votes.

However this has allowed this loudmouthed bigot Farage to gain avoidable prominence again.
He's a wrecker of the worst divisive kind.
The saddest thing so far this year is anyone giving his smug, sickening grin the chance to grow wider.

He's taking UK politics further into the gutter.

He was likely gone from politics for good thankfully.
That the Conservative ERG, the DUP and Labour have opened the door to this divisive bigot again, is one of the worst thing to happen in politics in 2019.

Another footnote, I cannot and never have been able to like or admire Theresa May.
However seeing her with EU leaders yesterday, so happy and more relaxed with this burden of brexit off her shoulders, was good to see.

I've never blamed the EU.
We have a veto, we were allowed an opt out from the Euro.
We had a rebate agreed too.

We elected governments, both Labour and Conservative from 1974 onwards.
Who all signed treaties, who all helped form and set up the EU as it is.
Margaret Thatcher was a forceful supporter of the single market.

Now the EU is used as a scapegoat for our ills,created by the governments we elected.

Now having the UK of a strong third of voters, following the rantings of a man whose only real prominence stems from his connection to the EU, where his salaries and perks over the years have come from

What a wholly depressing thought.
Truly awful that any can admire such a divisive bigot, in my view anyway.

It's really sad to be witnessing Ammi.

It will be really difficult for him to really break through in the first past the post system in a general election.

Hopefully that around a third of voters is his max.
Which actually is bad enough.
I'd hope for much less than that in a general election.

He'd need Labour and Conservatives to be down to around 20% and him well exceeding that to maybe even just have a chance of the balance of power.

he has said countless times that he thinks a second ref would produce the same result and there is no point having one as we have not started to do what the first one was for.

At this point I'd take either May's deal or even a No Deal before the deadline because if we don't have SOME sort of active plan by the end of October and we end up with a General Election... The results could be an absolute horror show. The Brexit Buddies with actual power in parliament? Just...

We need the power to forge our own trade deals separate from the rest of the UK though. Scotland is quite liked / popular internationally, unlike England .

Also everyone wants good import rates on the Scotch because the entire world is low-key alcoholic. We just have to hope they don't find out that LT already drank it all .

Nigel is the UK's most loved and most popular politician - no other even comes close. In a time when 99.9% of politicians are vilified, untrustworthy and in the Westminster bubble he is a breath of fresh air.

Our other problem is as voters over EU elections for years, we've sent to the EU him and others thinking his way, who never wanted to work with the EU for the UK.
However only in the main to just disrupt over there as much as possible, helping to fuel division and even prejudice in the UK.
