Because the UK title would be [even more] pointless if they didn't have it annually.

It's in the Albert Hall this time too and will feature matches with RAW and NXT superstars as well as the actual tournament. Undisputed Era have been advertised as have Bate and Seven.

The winner of this tournament faces Pete Dunne for the title.

Big Cass is out once again with an injury (although it could be a work):

Cass appeared to injure his knee working a tag match in Amsterdam with Miz against Daniel Bryan and Tye Dillinger. At one point, Cass drops to his knee on the ring apron and begins limping afterward. He then strikes the ring apron in frustration.

After the match was over, Big Cass was helped to the back by a referee.

The same scene played out in Munich the next day, however, and was filmed for WWE.com — leading many to speculate on the authenticity of the injury. If it is indeed legitimate, this would follow an 8-month recovery from a torn ACL in his left knee that required surgery.

PPV's may soon be an hour longer:

According to PWInsider, the company has informed its international broadcasting partners that starting with June 17th’s Money in the Bank, their PPV events will start at 7 PM ET with a Kickoff show likely starting at 6 PM, if they stick around.

The site adds that Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Money in the Bank, SummerSlam and Survivor Series shows could run even longer.

The plan on extending their events for an additional hour comes as a means of filling the card with as much talent as possible. Last month’s Backlash event served as the first WWE co-branded PPV show, which lasted over three hours.

After losing the PROGRESS Women’s Championship to Jinny this past weekend, reports are surfacing that WWE is offering Toni Storm a “revolving” UK contract.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Toni Storm has signed a UK contract with WWE, not a developmental one, granting her a similar contract like wrestlers Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, and Trent Seven – allowing her to still work on the Indies when not booked with WWE.

According to Tokyo Sports, STARDOM’s Io Shirai will be heading to the WWE shortly after her final show with Japanese promotion on June 17th. Shirai recently lost her Wonder of Stardom title to Momo Watanabe but the Observer reports that the title change had nothing to do with WWE and Stardom did not know she was leaving until Sunday.

Shirai was first contacted by WWE in October 2016 and later accepted a deal in May 2017. However, she failed to pass WWE’s medical examining causing the company to revoked their offer a month later.

F4WOnline adds that besides Shirai and Toni Storm, who also signed a U.K. contract with WWE, the WWE has made offers to other Stardom wrestlers and with the Mae Young Classic this summer, the Stardom Five-Star tournament has lost several wrestlers who were originally set to be part of it.
