It's not living together, it's too much tap dancing that makes them fall in the sink.
Is that why they're meant to be chained to it?

All except Hira but perhaps that is because of her unchained melody that she treated marcus to the other night when HE was in chains, so to speak.

Ahem - OK - this appears to have become a serious topic of discussion.

So let's think about it for a second.

All human beings are different an react differently to stress, to hormonal fluctuations, to lack of sleep, to hunger, to discomfort, to other people's emotions, even to subtle influences like the pheromones given off by those around them.

There are so many factors acting on all the housemates. Even if it was clear one of the women was menstruating, or in the week leading up to it, that would tell us nothing about how she reacts to it.

I'm really the only person I can use as an example in this, so I guess I have to: I do get cranky the week before, and a little melancholy during. I am aware that I get cranky and therefore I monitor myself very closely to make sure I'm not being unjust to people (doors, however, had just better watch their ******ing backs or I will slam the living s**t out of them). The melancholy I can also monitor - when I feel weepy I allow myself a good cry over nothing and there, it is out of my system.

I have never been in a situation that compares to being a BB housemate but I don't think my coping mechanisms would change one bit - and I don't believe it would have an effect on the way I nominated.

Most women I know are the same - the hormonal fluctuation does effect them, in a whole variety of ways, but they can and do control the negative side of that.

I also think that it is clear you see far more obvious changes in the housemates when fatigue and hunger are a big issue. And, studies show (though I'll have to root around for a citation) that in general women cope marginally better with lack of sleep and food than men. So even if the menstruation thing were a big deal it'd be balanced out by the fatigue and hunger thing - if one were to look at this from a male consistency v's female consistency perspective, that is.
