My eldest daughter was always in the low class at school ,shes now 34 years old a LOVELY gentle woman who has worked in old peoples homes for 15 years ,she does jobs i could never do ,she would not hurt a fly ,i am very proud of her as im sure you all are of your nephew
Ah thats lovely, good for her. You are right to be proud. We are of Daniel and love him to bits, I tend to be protective and defensive about him tho.

Are you surprised by this revelation?

VERY, VERY, VERY surprised, you mean she actually WENT to school?

As she said she's quite clever really, but unschooled. Her basic intelligence suggests she wasted her opportunities.

Exactly ,what they lack in some parts they gain in others ,but to get off on making them appear backward idiots is not big and its not funny
People like Lisa are backward idiots because they have allowed themselves to grow into backward idiots.

You can bet your bottom dollar that this repulsive creature will have educated herself in all the nuances of extracting the maximum amount of dole money from the government, but would never think of trying a college course to make an attempt at getting some skills to try and get a job.

Dunces like Lisa, Dogface, David, Charlie, etc. are dunces for a reason. When they were at school they would be more interested in staring out of the window rather than read a book, and they are the same now.

What's sick about it? Some people are just too lazy to get off their ar se and try and educate themselves.

For this reason, people like Lisa and co will be as thick as a post for the whole of their lives.

It's a fact. Get used to it.

I suffer from this too but don't let that hold him back. He might not be academically there, but I'm sure he will have other skills that he will outshine in.

People on here really do sicken me. The amount of times I've heard people say oh it's not Freddie's fault it's his dyslexia blah blah blah (btw it's not all, Freddie is an eccentric and I don't see why his actions need to be justified by saying it's down to his dyslexia. I know quite a few dyslexics and I can safely say that non of them are annoying twats like Freddie) but somehow it's acceptable to make fun of Lisa for being in the 'dunces class'. It's not her fault

my little girl is dyslexic and finds it very hard to read etc. she is made to feel stupid by others when they call her names like thicko and dunce. she might not be the best at writing or reading or have the best concentration, but she is gifted in other ways, like art and drama.

i can't stand lisa, but when she was at school it was very different to how it is now. slow learners weren't given as much support as they are now. they were basically put in the dunce class and given up on

i'd like to add that a very close family friend was in the dunce class the whole way through school, left at 12 years old and could barely read. he's now a self made multi millionaire. he still finds it hard to read etc, but he has a **** hot business mind and the best problem solver i know.

My brother in law can hardly read or write ,but has more money than i could ever dream of having ,all by his own steam ,and you are right ,the extra help was not there years ago as it is today ,but to laugh at people like your daughter,my daughter the other member`s nephew and Lisa says more about the person laughing than it does about them

Just because she was in remedial ( i hate the word dunce it hasnt been used in years) doesnt mean she had LD. She could have just been lazy, disruptive or just plain unwilling to learn.

To get back to fundamentals:
For years the producers have tested the IQs of HMs before they enter the house. I think it is questionable that they should accept people with extremely low figures (eg Sophie 50, Lisa 65). Do they have the intellectual capacity to withstand the rigours of the house.
I do not have the statistics but my strong impression is that since BB1 the average levels have dropped, probably because with greater awareness of what is involved, those of higher intelligence avoid the experience.
At the other end of the scale we see people like Tickle, Laud and now Freddie being extolled as near genius when in fact they are merely slightly above average.

When I was at school, they hadn't invented dyslexia yet. Funnily enough, I never encountered one single person in my school who couldn't read at that time. Many found it difficult (because they were thicker than the rest), but they all got there eventually.

Now that they have invented dyslexia, they have an excuse for thick kids, and even though they throw "specialist teaching" resources at it, loads of people now leave school being unable to read.

Ask yourself why you don't run into a lot of 60 year olds in this country who can't read.....it's because even the thickest of them were made to get their head down and learn to do it, by their parents and teachers when they were kids. Nowadays, actually helping your own kids with stuff like this is too much bother for lazy parents and c rap teachers.

Some people aren't in the dunce class because they have learning difficulties etc. they're just there because they can't be arsed to learn. Looking at Lisa it's not hard to understand what she meant by 'I'm actually clever I just don't listen'

Because of that it's no big leap to understand why she now epitomises what people describe as 'layabout'
