The only way out is the Nuke option. Back up what you can and reformat the entire disk. Better still, if the PC is old, (How old is it) replace the whole thing

Also System restore is a dead end as many viruses can hide in there. I use Avast and one of the scary functions on it is a boot scan, where the anti virus will find a way to scan your hard drive when you reboot, as some viruses lurk down there.

Another point to note is that some viruses also attack certain antivirus soft ware.

As far as Norton is concerned, ditch it and get something else, lake Avast or AVG. Norton is resource hungry and charges an annual fee.

I think it's about 4 or 5 years old now.

I've got my laptop back now anyway, think I'll just buy another tower thing for the computer.

That looks like a version of the Vundo/Virtumonde trojan, some of the first things it does is change your background, disable the options and locks your task manager, norton and other anti virus softwares dont usually pick it all up, MalwareBytes free version gets rid of it.

Btw, stop watching porn and you wont get it again

Next time it happens and restore doesn't work, I have an option. It basically resets your computer back to factory settings, so it removes all your files etc, but everything is brand spanking new.

What you do... is when your comp is loading up, hold down f8... then a page should come up with the option "Repair your computer". Use that option to completely reformat your hard disk. I usually do this every few months anyway cos Microsoft are crap.
