Yes, shed loads. Yes and yes.
How it works. The record has a groove in it. The groove has bumps in it. When you put the needle in the groove it bounces up and down. This inturn moves a magnet and copper coil. This creates an electro magnetic signal that is sent to an amplifier. The signal is boosted and sent to your speakers. In your speakers there is a magnet and coil. This moves the speaker cone to the same bumps in the record groove and the moving cone makes the sound you hear.

I don't even collect CDs.
I only listen to music on my laptop, so CDs just gather dust tbh. However, my dad has some vinyl records stored or stuffed up in the attic. |
