I laugh at all this I really do - yeah they get paid, they swan about but you tar every single player with the same brush
Hobby ending...dear.

Kicking a ball around a field is not around a field is not a 'job'. Millions of people do it...after school, after work...etc. Just some LUCKY people, get paid for doing it.

Its kind of like me getting paid shedloads of money for reading a book. Because I read a little faster than others. And i could sustain a serious paper cut while doing it.

It's just a case of supply and demand. They supply us with endless moments of creativity and passion, you know? I mean you reading a book wouldn't do the same really. Well, suppose what you'd be wearing might help. lol. Sorry, couldn't resist!

LOL.

I know this.

But I still find it hard to class playing football as a 'job'. I really do.

League One, annual earnings with the average of around £67,850 or £1,305 a week. While down in League Two, the average of £49,600 brings in just £954 a week.

On the non-league scene, players in the Conference (Division Five if you want) take home around £20-30,000 a year.

Have to say it - the 'bloke' in your sig is one ugly bugger - he looks like he belongs in a zoo! Really - not a pleasant sight!

Footballers get paid a lot because they bring a lot of money into the country.
They get paid a lot because people choose to watch them..
Football on tv gets a massive audience..

Most will only get paid that high wage for like 8 years when they are young they dont get paid as much, then when they get to old they get a reduced money contract..

Actors and singers both get paid more..

Most of footballers money comes from sponsership.

Your last statement is unture I am afraid - sorry not being argumentative it is
some may be but not all.....they cannot win. What percentage of income do you give to charity? Where are you getting your figures from £20k in a year from £3m??

Your argument is that prem football players give a lot to charity. I am asking how much and what is the percentage of that to their income?

Too many times we see people fall over celebrities because they donate what seems like a lot of money to us but is actually a fraction of their overall income.

If I give the NSPCC £50 pm, £600 per year and earn £20000 annually then it is roughly 3 % of my income.

Robbie Keane earns roughly £4,000,000 annually (prob more) so to match my example he should be giving £120,000 annually

does he?

You could say it about a lot of sports people.

F1 drivings.
Golfers.
American football players.
Basketball players.
Baseball players.

At top level all get payed more than footballers.
