Horse and frogs legs. You gotta be mad if you don't like that. That sounds so stereotypical now that I'm reading this lol
Horses are lovely domestic animals - they should not be slaughtered for food. There is plenty of food available so is not necessary! Seems very uncivilised to me!

Now I know why France never appealed to me! Their taste in food in not as sophisticated as they make out! Pretty backward stuff!

That's called the best cuisine in the world. We're also the best bakers too
I may not have French blood but I like the food, better than the English one at least. I remember when I lived for a bit there, I only liked Fish & Chips.

It only seems strange and uncivilised to you as you have not been brought up in a society where it is the norm. If eating cats and dogs was normal practice in the UK, I doubt you would have a problem with consuming them. Unless you were a vegetarian of course.

I get what you're saying - and if I had been brought up in some poverty-stricken third world country - then you might have a point - but in a wealthy, European country it is cruel, unnecessary and downright uncivilised! In such a country - people should know better! It is about putting money before animal welfare - something I do not agree with!

The UK appeals to me more than France. Except for food.
Rabbit meat is great too. Baby pigeons are hot too.

Its a cultural thing, British food has a few items that would be considered objectionable overseas, haggis black pudding, tripe jellied eels.

Pigs make great pets, they can even be house trained, wont stop me having a bacon sarnie though.

Dont knock it till you try it.

It's a meat just like another. And it's good.

By the way, horses are not domestic animals. They may have been "owned" by men but their basic nature is to be wild. On the contrary, dogs have been made by men. They are domestic.

In an ideal world - we wouldn't breed and kill any animals for food - but we do! But I do think domestic animals such as horses, dogs and cats are different! I used to go horse-riding as a child and know what lovely, gentle animals they are - they are not meant to be eaten!

No it's fine if you're a vegetarian. At least you don't eat mat at all. You don't chose whether is acceptable to eat "because they're cute" or not.

Why did I know I would get that thrown at me? Some horses live wild as do some dogs - but most horses are domestic animals! It is just unnecessary cruelty - for greedy men's pockets!

People think the killing of dogs and cats etc is cruel because they see them as pets. Not all countries are the same. Again it's to do with your culture and your beliefs. Doesn't make it any less right or wrong.

You should have said that first, that'd have spared us this debate. It's OK if you have feelings for them as you have a story behind. But it's a meat like another WOMBAI, I can't spare your feelings on that one.

I think I heard there is only one lot of wild horses in the world now, and that is in America. Not sure if that is true or not.
