They are in SA. It's not like Europe. The police won't take any shit.

Even in England your neanderthalic reputation precedes you. The only difference between us in the world cup is one of us will make it a lot further than the other. No prizes for guessing who.
Ever since 1978 in Argentina the Tartan Army have been notorious for getting drunk and being nice to everyone except our crap team.

Never any stories of the Tartan Army getting arrested or causing riots

I'd be surprised if many idiots from this country even make the trip, not exactly as close as Germany in recent years and the amount of people with banning orders is unreal.

Police don't help themselves in this country these days with trouble, they can't be free from blame as they instigate a lot of situations sadly.

You are probably correct. My bruv and nephew are going to SA to support Cameroon and I know it cost an arm n 3 legs. Engerland will not win the World Cup of arrests this time.

The Green Army are one of the greatest fans on the planet. Incidentally, I just hope that nobody gets aggressive over there, be it the English, Dutch, Argentinians, whoever. It's not needed right now, am I right? So lets just hope it goes smoothly, rather than point an accusatory finger right now.

Yeah I would like to see a trouble free World Cup with no country's supporters disgracing themselves. Saying that though I am sure the South African police have ample supplies of tear gas and riot batons available.

Of course!

One of my silly stories is that in 2003 we got on a plane @ Schipol and the bloke in the 3rd seat with us noticed the Scottish Claymores clothes n asked what Scotland was like these days. He had gone to Argentina in 1978, had a good time with the locals in Cordoba after we got cuffed and was just making his way back

My answer was easy - you've not missed much since you were away, except we're even worse at fitba!

I can't get over this amazing game.. how great to watch what feels like hours and hours setting up plays only to get that 0-0 'score'!

1-1! yaaaaa... now we see who is the champ!

England 1-1 USA wow.. what a journey!

Sorry but enough is enough - open up the damn scoring or just stop pretending it is any kind of meaningful competition.

Oh.. its when they really count the most.

(i might mention, I don't mind english premiere league footy but wow these no-scoring and low scoring games.. ugh).

I also think its funny the US team is in the World Cup and is a fairly decent team and yet nobody in the USA cares and has zero interest.
The USA could win the world cup (because one single goal got past someone in some game),
yet,
nobody in the USA would care.

Is that because the subtleties and intricacies are lost on your North American brain?

Yes the fans did, but you were of course hoping there was going to be lots of trouble so you could come back and say "typical English fans rioting, Scots fans never do that etc".

Thread fail.
