his VTs made him cringe

his homosexual rant was put in perspective

I agree that he will now hopefully see his "supernatural" antics in a new light

I think people understand that was not a 'hatred of David' but was exposing what was really happening:
C4 (being an antichristian channel) most definitely found David (and I think I know exactly how),
and,
He was cast for the purpose of shaming Christianity. That was the very idea behind it and my larger complaint.
They tried this with Stephen Baldwin but it did not quite work or even backfired.
They tried it again by choosing David counting on him to go into 'drunken glory'.
The 'good news' is that David knew that. He went so far as to explain this and was fully aware he was cast for that purpose - to go into drunken states all the time.

But here is the bright side of everything. Although David said he was 'not being himself' as he was sober-minded was actually BEING HIMSELF.
Laughing hysterically in a self-hypnotic state was making people cringe and feel embarrassed for Christians,
but,
When David was being himself and genuinely laughing.. I mean genuinely having a great laugh - that DID show a great testimony and does witness that Christians can enjoy life (for real not for trance states),
and,
Because David was not amusing himself with 'drunk states' for his own enjoyment he was instead spending time being a 'shoulder to cry on' or giving some advice,
or,
instead of filling himself with pleasure feelings he was instead sober-minded to help someone else feel good or better about themselves.

I honestly and sincerely hope and pray that David can step back and watch this season and see that.
SEE himself demonstrating that 'drunken glory' and charismania was NOT helping anyone,
but,
being sober-minded and a 'real person' was worthwhile, was a good report, was attractive, was interesting.

David is a good guy and could be a fantastic lay Pastor and he 'could' use the media to glorify God (God uses him),
but,
The only thing holding him back has been this nonsense 'in the shaming' and he proved it here.

What will make me cringe?
2 months from now all the good work will be undone when videos show up with him being 'coked up in the spirit' and rambling foolishly in bizarre drunken sloshfests.
Tell him this and remind him of this. Sincerely.
I never saw what all the fuss was with his religious schism - sloshfests, drunken/drugfcked mindsets etc. For me it got old and boring (as a concept), in the first week or so of watching and researching. SURE, it was obviously a trading platform whereby the producers wanted him in - as he could be viewed as the "token weirdo". But i'm not totally convinced or so cynical - as you are with this whole shaming of religion, business. His particular brand of religion is obviously an altered take on the "mainstream", with belief that you can reach altered states of consciousness or whatever. Let's face it, this stuffs been going on since "Adam was a boy"...shamanism, mysticism, laughter induced mindsets, general weird oddball beliefs. Nothing new!

The way i see it, if he and a couple hundred other weirdo's wanna be drunk on the holy spirit...do their sloshfests, act "strange"...compared to what we define as a society as normal, then so be it. I don't care, as long as they're not disturbing me. 200 people getting bladdered on the holy ghost, i see as no more damaging than 200,000 people getting bladdered every Friday night in their local pub!

The issue i take up with you ElProximo, is that, i don't see why it matters if he see's an error in ways - (from reviewing his daily appearance in front of 3 million people). If he's genuinely happy in his life, then so be it. And from my observations, he seems to be. For you to be pushing a barrow this whole season, that - he's a nice guy, but unfortunately is caught up in some weirdo cult - and hope he gets out, i think is a fruitless journey. Because, as i mentioned in a very early post with you - who are we to define what is the right way to live, what is best for each individual? If i wanna believe in Wizards, Fairies, Xenu, Drunk on God, Alien Abduction or Lizard people or whatever, i think is perfectly fine - so long as i'm happy!

In essence i think what you're saying is - because he's not acting like a "normal" Christian, and not abiding by your brand of religion - then, he needs to "wake up", and find himself on a similar life journey to your own.

I'm wondering if he intends to bring his open air wheelchair healing to Portsmouth? I'm sure there are many people here who would like to lay their hands on him...

I detect a smidgen of doth protest too much in that OTT statement! I suspect your little heart will miss many a beat over just a mere glimpse of the lovely Dave! Ha,ha! Your loss!

Second - well done Dave!
