A BURGLAR who got drunk and stole cherished medals and cigarette lighters from the home of two elderly brothers has had his sentence halved by top judges.

Scott Jones, aged 19, of Saville Road, Wath Upon Dearne, broke into the house with two teenage friends after they drank 36 bottles of lager between them at another friend's house.
