Yeh I like the idea. ORrrrr let's go the whole way and have the judges just judge and be mentors to all--unbiased, basically (well, I guess they'll still have their favourites but because of talent rather than who's on their 'side'). That'd get it back to being about the contestants rather than who will win out of the judges.

Open the Sunday show with the results, straight away, no messing about. Then in the first half of the show, the bottom two have their sing off. Then the voting lines reopen...ONLY for those two/three if its a double. Then have the guest performers on. And then the results of the public vote.

This way the public have more control, and wont feel cheated. And also Simon makes more money from it, so he should also like the idea

People are losing faith in the public vote each week. I don't blame them to be honest. The only people who I think would disagree right now are fans of Katie...but think of it another way, a contestant YOU dont like survives 4 times in a row over people who you actually DO like. Surely it is much fairer to put it back to the public? Hey, Katie might still have been saved 4 times if it WAS down to the public...who knows? But noone would have grounds to moan about it if it was all done fairly, which IMO this year it hasn't been.
I agree this is the best way to go, the current sytem of deadlock is wrong because the judges get the sing off and have the knowledge of who is the bottom 2, the public don't and currently their votes and who is last is based on the Saturdays performances.

As you say, get that known then re-open the lines and let the public decide who goes from that point.Fairer but also its really common sense too.

This year the public are just being taken for fools.
