Yay, we came 10th! I must say, Brian did a good job on the song tonight. I was very surprised.

Thanks to you UK people who gave us 8 or 10 votes (can't remember which!)

We qualify for the final automatically now next year. Whoppeeee!

Boo for political voting though. We gave our 12 to Lithuania. Mind you, it was probably because the country is flooded with them now.

Basically, because there are so many countries that want to enter it would be impossible to have them all in one night.

So two years ago they started a semi-final where countries except a select few (including the UK, France, Spain, Germany etc) and the top 10 from the previous year would have to get through first to get into the final.

LOL, Lance!

And the show sure was AMAZING!

Plus, what was with the weird bird people, and the girl stuck in the piano!?

I had the lyric function on (red button) and the Croatian entry was called "My High Heel", and the lyrics included "Before the grass has sprouted, where I have trodden with my high heel..."

"You nibble me but nobody sees..."

It was amazing. Truly amazing.

Fearne actually said aswell. Cheeky lil' devil she is!

Woah, at those lyrics, how strange. Mind you, with them Norwegians winning, nothing seems strange anymore.

I thought Daz would have done better than he did, but I guess its still down to politics on the voting.

I guess we can't complain really. The UK and Ireland always give each other high points.

And it seems to be becoming more and more of an excuse every year for countries who do poorly.

Its all politics. We would lose with Paul McCartney performing, all because of Blair.

All the Baltic countries vote for each other. And the Balkams (Or however it's spelt). All that poor Ireland and UK have is each other . But thats all good, I'm 1/4 Irish and 3/4 English so

And I'm quite glad Finland won. It shows a drastic change from all the cheesy pop ballads.

Sorry to generalise here, but all these "less well off" countries seem to be the ones doing well of late.

Ukraine, Greece, Lithuania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Latvia, Estonia, Israel.. I think they all control this show now.

I think the voting is as much to do with culture as politics. People vote for the country that is culturally close to their own.

Terry Wogan's commentary is so mocking these days... that's stopped us ever taking this contest seriously.

Its impossible to imagine the UK ever winning again. How long will the UK continue to pump money into it? And how long will the UK audience continue to watch it, when we keep getting trounced?

Terry is hilarious, James. I always watch BBC rather than RTE (Irish channel) because it's much more entertaining.

I don't know, Chris. It all seems a bit ridiculous to be pumping money into it and getting nothing out. That money could be used more effectively.
